In the past five months, through Tibet Corps, Mr. Tenzin Cheme, who holds a master’s degree in computer science from Christ University, Bangalore, has been actively engaged in data cleaning, analysis, and interpretation of results for the Winter Sweater Sellers Loan under the Tibetan Refugee Livelihood Support Program at the Social and Resource Development Fund (SARD), Department of Finance, CTA. He conducted meticulous data cleaning to ensure accuracy and consistency, performed thorough exploratory data analysis, and is currently in the process of crafting insightful visualizations to effectively communicate key findings to relevant stakeholders. Additionally, he adeptly managed missing values, outliers, and duplicates, standardized and transformed data, and rigorously verified data integrity. Insights derived from his work include the identification of factors influencing loan approval/rejection and the analysis of the distribution of loan amounts and interest rates.
Furthermore, on 23rd March 2024, following the successful completion of his tasks, Mr. Cheme delivered a comprehensive presentation on soft loan analysis. His presentation underscored the pivotal role of data in decision-making processes, outlined key steps in data analysis, provided an overview of soft loans and their significance, and presented proposed solutions to challenges in soft loan management.
