Phuntsok Dolkar is a staff nurse at Tso Jhe Khangsar Hospital in Bylakuppe, serving with the Tibet Corps since November 2023. She works full-time, including both day and night shifts.
Phuntsok hails from Kollegal Dhondenling settlement and completed her class 12th from CST Mundgod. She received her nursing education at SCVDS School of Nursing, Mysore.
In her capacity as a nurse, Phuntsok’s responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, administering dressings, and caring for inpatients. She collaborates closely with doctors, especially in critical cases where home visits are necessary.
During her time at the hospital, she has attended workshops and classes led by experienced doctors, enriching her knowledge. She is grateful to Tibet Corps for this opportunity.
Furthermore, Phuntsok provides health education to patients and their attenders, focusing on prevalent ailments like Dengue and Typhoid Fever. Additionally, she offers guidance on home remedies for dog bites, which are common issues within the community.
