Duties & Responsibilities
The program office will be based in Dharamsala and he/she will be based at DoH and will assist the DOH Program Managers in day-to-day activities in programs related to MCH/RMNCH, TB, Hepatitis B, Health Information System, Mental Health, HIV, Substance Use, TMS etc.
- Monthly stipend depending on the category of professionals
- School accomodation may be provided depending on school, monthly rent allowances for volunteers who stay by their own
- Certificate of Recognition
Bsc degree or degree in Public Health /Allied Health
Skill in computer fundamentals and IT is additional benefit
Experience & Skill in grant writing and editing of newsletters is additional benefit
Experience of working with NGOs in health programs is additional benefit
Host Organization Background
The Department of Health provides primary health care services to all Tibetan refugees India, Nepal and Bhutan through its health care centers. At present, the department supports fifty-five health centers out of which twelve are in Nepal. The department further administers and supports seven larger primary health centers, four smaller ones and 32 dispensaries in India including one special need school in Dehradun. It employs a medical staff of 174 and 68 administrative staff.
